Facilities available at The Yews

Ground Floor

Broadway Lounge

    for gatherings of up to 40 people with several easy chairs. TV, video, CD and tape systems and a loop system available.

Graham Cloake Lounge

    a smaller room for up to 12 people. Named after a former trustee who died recently.

Muster Room

    a very sunny room for up to 20 people, close to the kitchen and often used for meals. Dining chairs and folding tables available

Plus full kitchen facilities, a paved playing area, outdoor equipment with a safety surface, sitting out space and a grassed area.

Most of the ground floor is fully accessible with disabled toilet facilities.

First Floor

Boltro Room

    quiet, with easy chairs and suitable for counselling or for meetings of up to 6 people.

Barrett Room

    similar sized room to the Boltro Room overlooking Muster Green. Named after the last private resident who left in 1960.

South Room

    quiet, with easy chairs and suitable for counselling or for meetings of up to 4 people.

Elizabeth Peel Room

    The large room above the Broadway Lounge named after a former Chair who died recently is currently unavailable for hire.

Leslie Reeves Room

    The room above the Graham Cloake Lounge, named after a former resident who died in the First World War, is currently unavailable for hire.

Upper kitchen

    A smaller room above the Muster Room containing kitchen facilties but suitable for counselling or small meetings.

The Yews Talking News studio is also on this floor.

Parking space is limited but one or two spaces can sometimes be found in Boltro Road and along Muster Green in the day-time. Parking tends to be easier in the evenings.

      The ground floor kitchen has parts for drinks and another for preparing meals
